Members of the HRK Global Trade team attended the Venezuela International Oil & Gas Summit (VIOGS) 2026 in Caracas, joining industry leaders, operators, investors, service providers and other stakeholders for three days of conversations around the future of Venezuela’s energy sector.
Taking place from September 28–30, the summit brought together companies and decision-makers from across Venezuela, Latin America and international energy markets to discuss the commercial, operational and investment landscape surrounding the country’s oil and gas industry.
From Industry Outlook to Project Execution
Throughout VIOGS 2026, discussions covered some of the key factors shaping the next phase of Venezuela’s energy sector, including upstream development, natural gas, LNG, infrastructure, investment frameworks, regional integration and the operational realities behind future projects.
These conversations are particularly relevant because growth in the energy sector extends far beyond production itself.
New projects and the rehabilitation or expansion of existing operations can create complex requirements across industrial equipment, materials, infrastructure, maintenance, logistics and supply coordination.
Turning opportunity into execution requires an industrial ecosystem capable of supporting those needs.

Infrastructure as Part of the Conversation
Infrastructure was an important part of the VIOGS agenda, particularly around the development of Venezuela’s natural gas sector and its potential connection with regional energy markets.
Discussions explored the infrastructure required to connect supply with demand, including gas processing, pipelines, LNG infrastructure and cross-border integration.
For companies operating across industrial supply chains, these conversations provide valuable context. Infrastructure development depends not only on investment and engineering, but also on access to materials, equipment, technology, logistics and reliable supply networks capable of supporting projects throughout their lifecycle.
Understanding What Comes Next
Industrial markets evolve long before a material is purchased or a shipment begins.
Changes in investment, infrastructure priorities and project development eventually translate into new requirements across procurement and supply chains.
Being present at industry events such as VIOGS allows HRK to remain connected to those conversations, understand the direction of the market and continue developing the relationships and capabilities needed to support future industrial requirements.
It is also an opportunity to exchange perspectives with companies operating across different parts of the energy value chain and better understand the challenges they are preparing to address.
Staying Connected to the Market
HRK’s presence at VIOGS 2026 reflects a broader approach to business development: staying close to the markets where we operate and understanding the context surrounding the projects we support.
As conversations around Venezuela’s energy sector continue to evolve, so will the requirements surrounding infrastructure, industrial supply, logistics and execution.
For HRK, understanding those requirements early is an important part of being prepared for what comes next.
Because opportunities may begin with a conversation, but turning them into projects requires execution.
